What you are writing about is beautiful. I'm new to FA and reading a bunch of "101" posts, but nothing has described the fat experience as well as what you write here. The whole time I thought, "those are the feelings I always wanted to express, that is the feeling I get that I can't put into words" so thank you so much for expressing it so eloquently. I enjoyed your essay a lot. It doesn't surprise me that fat bodies are ignored in corporal theory. They're pretty much ignored - shunned, really - everywhere in our society.
